Zen + Tails is back for year three! On Sunday, October 4, we are hosting a free morning of puppy yoga and adoptions at Prost Brewing Co. in Northglenn, all in support of our friends at Soul Dog Rescue.
At Navigate Realty, we believe a great neighborhood is about more than the homes in it. It's about the people, the local businesses, and yes, the pets that make a place feel like home. Our agents help Colorado families find where they belong every day, and Zen + Tails is our way of helping a few four-legged neighbors do the same.
This event has never been about selling anything. It's free and open to everyone, because showing up for the community we live and work in is part of who we are.
Meet Soul Dog Rescue
Soul Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Fort Lupton, founded with a mission to spay, neuter, and protect animals. Their motto says it all: rescued is their favorite breed.
What sets Soul Dog apart is how far they go to tackle pet overpopulation at its source. Their team travels to rural communities on Native American reservations across the Four Corners region, where spay and neuter care only happens if it is close to free and easy to reach. Working with volunteer veterinarians, they run clinics that offer these services at no cost to pet owners. Donations cover the medications, supplies, and operating costs that keep those clinics running.
Back home in Colorado, Soul Dog runs a shelter and clinic in Fort Lupton, open seven days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM. They also place dogs and cats into loving homes through adoption events and a dedicated network of foster families. As they put it, they are a small rescue with a big heart, and it truly takes a village.
Why We Partner with Soul Dog
We chose Soul Dog because their work reflects what we care about: practical, hands-on help for the communities that need it most. Their free spay and neuter clinics reach families who would otherwise go without, and their Fort Lupton shelter is right here in our own backyard. Every dog adopted at Zen + Tails is one more Colorado pet with a home, and one more spot opened for an animal still waiting.
A Morning Built by Community
Zen + Tails comes together because local people and businesses say yes. Gia Lemley of Flow in Fruits leads the class, Prost Brewing Co. opens its doors in Northglenn, and partners from across the home buying world, from lenders and title companies to inspectors and insurance agents, show up alongside neighborhood favorites like Cosmo's Dog Bakery and Pet Supply. It's the same network that helps families buy homes all year, coming together for a good cause.
Spotlight: Prost Brewing Co. Northglenn
This year, Prost Brewing Co. in Northglenn is opening its doors to host Zen + Tails and donating raffle prizes on top of it. We could not ask for a better neighbor to share the morning with.
Prost is a family-owned Colorado craft brewery founded in 2012, focused on German-style biers. Its owners are sixth-generation Coloradans, and when the company outgrew its Denver home, it chose to stay local and move its headquarters to the Northglenn Marketplace at I-25 and 104th Avenue (Brewbound). Adams County framed the move as part of revitalizing the Marketplace and creating a new place for the community to gather (Adams County).
Today, the Northglenn biergarten brews on site. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the brewing process, then settle in at German-style bench seating with a stein and a menu of traditional German fare (Brewbound). It's the kind of spot where neighbors run into neighbors, which makes it a perfect home for an event like ours.
Thank you, Prost, for being the kind of local business that keeps showing up for Northglenn.
How You Can Help
Soul Dog Rescue always needs supplies. Their current wish list includes:
Slip leads
Medium martingale collars
Harnesses (new or gently used)
Leashes (new or gently used)
High-value training treats
Monetary donations are welcome too and go directly toward helping rescue animals.
Beyond supplies, there are plenty of ways to support their work year round:
Adopt: Give a pet a loving home and a second chance at life.
Foster: Open your home for a few weeks to a couple of months and help an animal build the confidence it needs to find a forever family.
Volunteer: Lend a hand in every area of their work.
Donate: Gifts from supporters are their primary source of revenue, and the need is constant.

Rooted in Community
Zen + Tails is one small way we give back, but it reflects something bigger. The neighborhoods we help people move into are only as strong as the people, businesses, and organizations that care for them. We're proud to stand alongside Soul Dog Rescue and every partner who made this year possible.
